What Is Austronaut?
Austronaut came to life at the International Space University in 2019 where over 100 students and space professionals from around the world took part in a team-based astronaut skills competition. Since then, Austronaut, has focused on delivering workshops and training programs that teach the knowledge and skills that astronauts have.
Austronaut workshops and programs are inspired by the high-achieving and interdisciplinary nature of astronauts. These experiences aim to equip participants with fundamental knowledge and skills aligned with astronaut candidate preparation, whilst exploring how these skills can improve both professional and everyday performance to support ongoing success and fulfilment.
Through hands-on workshops, in-person and online, Austronaut aims help people improve their wellbeing and performance by bringing the same habits, mindset, attention to detail and can-do attitude used embodied by astronaut’s in their preparation for spaceflight.
Topics in these workshops programs can be assigned to these broad categories:
Personal Development
Human Performance
Astronautics
(STEM) Technical Skills
